How can I receive information about HRS?

What grades does Holy Rosary offer?
Holy
 Rosary School offers Kindergarten through grade eight, with a Middle School program component (grades 6-8).


Does HRS offer financial assistance?
Yes.  Need-based tuition assistance is available through a confidential application process utilizing the SMART Tuition Aid Analysis Services. Approximately $30,000 is distributed annually to approximately 10% of our families.


What is the age requirement for Kindergarten? 
A child must be five years old by September 1 of the year they enter kindergarten.


What is a typical class size?
Class sizes at Holy Rosary average 22-24 students in the elementary grades and can range up to 23-26 in Middle School. In general, there are two classes or sections for 5 of the 9 grades.


Is bussing provided to and from school?
Bus transportation is provided at no cost to students that meet eligibility and boundary requirements determined by Duluth Independent Public School District (ISD #709).


Are special education services available?
Special education services are provided off-campus after students have qualified for them.  Students are currently bussed to nearby public school sites for services.


Is an after school program available?
Yes, the FAST (Fun After School Time) Program is available from 2:30-5:30 pm daily when school is in session for students in Kindergarten through grade eight. The supervised program offers time for study, homework, and play and there is an hourly fee. Students in Middle School are eligible to participate in a daily after school homework program coordinated by AmeriCorps members in our community. This Middle School after school homework program is provided at no charge to the participants.
